Baby

So Ali has peaked interest in her baby dolls lately. She has two of them and she is constantly loving them, feeding them, burping them, and they usually must go where she is. She was busy this afternoon showing baby how to be a big girl.....

Happy Mother's Day 2008

What a wonderful day we had today! We spent the weekend in Wabash. Chris got to get a round of golf in. Ali enjoyed the park and G&G Wagoner's swingset on Sat. Mommy got some extra special Mother's Day gifts. Ali and Chris made me a card and Ali decorated a coolie for me. Chris got me a gift certificate to the spa....yippee!! I'm thinking either a stone massage or the hot lava mud pedicure...or maybe both :)....I think I deserve it :)

To our moms: Thank you for the wonderful people you are. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You molded us into the people we have become and instilled so many wonderful values and beliefs. We love you very much and enjoy each moment we get to spend with you!

Thank you Ali for letting me be your Mommy. You are my amazing little girl. Your smile brightens my world, your laugh makes me giggle, your cry breaks my heart, and your little kisses take my breathe away. I'm a better person because of you. I only hope I can make your world as wonderful as you make mine. You are the hardest and most tear-jerking job I've ever had BUT the most rewarding, loving, and satisfying! And Thank you to Chris for sharing in parenthood with me. You always acknowledge my work as a Mommy and I appreciate that.

Before church...aren't Meme Wagoner's roses sooo pretty????
Playing in Papa Tom's rocker that he had as a little boy. This is a favorite amongst the grandgirls!

Tye-Dye it is...

We saw Dr. Didelot today and got our cast on. Thank heavens it is below the knee, which means she can crawl with ease and as soon as she feels like it, she can walk in it. He said probably 7 days before she feels real comfortable to walk. We keep it on for 3 1/2 weeks and then after x-rays, hopefully it will come off. It is water-proof, which is awesome b/c we can do baths with ease, which she terribly needed tonight :) She did great today. She really has had limited to no pain!!! Thanks for the prayers and support :)

A real bummer

Hi everybody!
So, we had quite an eventful morn at the Bishop household. We were headed to church this am and I had on high-heels and I grabbed Ali to go downstairs and my heel snagged just enough on my 1st step that I lost my footing. So, needless to say, Ali and I took a tumble down our 15 stairs. We came to a sudden halt at the baby gate. I knew that she had hit her head some on the gate but I didn't know what the rest of her body had done while we fell. I knew that I had held onto her the whole time. After 10 minutes or so she had settled down some, but not a ton and WOULD NOT bear weight on her legs. SO...off to the ER we headed and yes, unfortunately, she fractured both bones in her left lower leg. She is splinted for now and we go see a Pediatric Ortho person sometime this week for our hard cast.
Please, please keep us in your prayers. Pray for patience for both Ali, Chris, and I. She gets pretty frustrated since she can't walk. Pray for pain control. Pray for a quick recovery. Pray for a good heal. Thank you!

ps....I seem to be okay. Just some bruises and a super sore shoulder blade.

Our 1st Potty

So Ali has been showing lots of interest in using the potty and really doesn't like to be wet/dirty so we thought we'd at least introduce her to the potty chair. She is soo cute with it. LOVES to sit on it (clothed or naked). She hasn't done anything in it yet, sits for seconds and then hops off and says...."All done".....then sticks her hand in the potty, just to make sure :)
