Chris did an excellent job with the Beach Themed Scavenger Hunt!! He was also really busy in the horseshoe tournament and cornhole tournament. Ali had a great time playing in the creek, blowing bubbles, playing with playdough, chasing the dogs around, and getting completely filthy in the mud puddles that a late afternoon thunderstorm brought. We got that on video. Oh, the memories!

Bishop Reunion 2008
We had a great weekend camping for the Bishop Reunion. Yes, we actually camped out in a tent for the weekend with little pumpkin butt! She did awesome. She slept through the night both nights, played well, and tolerated the whole outdoors thing very well. Thank you sooo much Carla for letting us borrow the tent...we are set to purchase one of our own now.

Hey Mama...yes my cheeks were rosy red all weekend from the heat!
I think I'll try a little cornhole myself!

Happy Father's Day 2008
To all those dads out there: Happy Father's Day to you!!!
We had a great weekend, home to Wabash. Chris and his dad enjoyed a round of golf together on Sat. morn. Chris, my parents, and myself went to see Sex and the City on Sat. night while Chris' parents watched Alison. It was super-good!!!! We enjoyed a cook-out today with all the family.
Chris, you are an amazing husband and father. I'm so lucky to be on the journey of parenthood with you. You are so sweet, loving, fun, and goofy. Alison lights up when she sees you and enjoys your pudding sessions on the kitchen floor :)
To our fathers: We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You are both such a wonderful example of being a "dad". Thank you! It is so great that Ali has two grandpas to love and share life with.

The swimsuit edition
We wanted to give a quick glance at our swimsuit this year b/c Mom thinks it is tooo cute! We attempted to play with the sprinkler ball on Sunday, but she had nothing to do with it. The first drops got her and she said, "All done"! We did go to the pool today and she did pretty good. Doesn't LOVE the water but doesn't hate it either.

Hip Hip Hooray
the cast is off............Did you read that right??? The cast is OFF! We are sooo excited. We went to the Dr. today and they sawed it off (yeah, she cried) and took x-rays. It is good to go. Her spiral fracture in her tibia is even hard to see and the greenstick in her fibula has tons of new bone growth all around it. Her fibula is bowed a little right now but within a year it will completely be normal. All very normal findings :) He said it might be a couple days before she walks and even a few weeks before she walks completely normal, but this girl just took off tonight. It is amazing!! She does turn her leg out a little bit but still.....
Can you believe the wear and tear a 17 month old can do to a cast in 3 1/2 weeks???

One of our last days in our cast getting ready for bed with Momma.

Thanks for thoughts, prayers, and humor during this roller coaster called life :)
