Saturday family fun

This past Saturday we headed to Cincinnati with two things in mind....enjoy the beautiful weather outside and make an IKEA run! We've been to the Cincy Zoo before and the second trip didn't disappoint either. We had a great day! So thankful to spend quality time with my little fam ~grin~
We headed to IKEA afterwards and scored big with a new entertainment center/storage shelves for the living room. They are about 75% put together now and "I'm lovin' it"! Alison's favorite thing about IKEA...the meatballs and shopping carts :)

24 weeks and 5 days

Well, we've made it...pass the half-way point! We had a follow-up ultrasound this morning just to follow growth, development, and fluid levels....okay, maybe it was just to make mom and dad feel good :) But in all honesty, we were thrilled to see our little miracle! Growing right on target and we couldn't be happier!

Nice profile shot, kinda looks like it is blowing a bubble

3-D shot....the baby is looking straight at you...definite two eyes, nose,  lips, and tiny chin

Halloween 2012

We had a great Halloween besides it being a tid-bit chilly. We stayed home, ate our traditional sloppy joe dinner, and enjoyed trick or treating our way through the neighborhood!

All things 'Fall'

Here at the Bishop house we've had a great Fall....enjoyed the typical fall activities, rounded out BSU home game season, and managed to fit in some home makeovers in the process~grin~
I was able to be a chaperone with Alison's field trip. We went to Russell Farms, which is the pumpkin patch we usually go to every year. They do a great program for the kiddos and it was a fun brisk day.

Her class
This year Alison bought a decorate your pumpkin witch kit---every witch has a green face, right?! It actually turned out super cute and I'll post pics of that with a Halloween posting

Her Kindergarten class also had a Fall Party that I was able to go to....TONS of activities that involved pumpkins all while trying to incorporate some Kindergarten skills---math, reading. I LOVE being able to attend activities with her and share in her day to day.
Here is the pumpkin she chose from Russell Farms, they got to decorate them during the Fall Party.
On Thursday of this past week the weather was SO beautiful and Alison was on fall break so we headed out to Conner Prairie for the Headless Horseman. It was a great evening to go. We had a near-tear experience on the wagon ride but she ended up loving it and wanted to see the Headless Horseman again~grin~

 And what's Fall Break without a stay-at-home-in-your-jammies-day-and-lick-the-beaters-clean-moment????
YUM, homemade sugar cookies :)

A Saturday recap

So I'm just a couple weeks behind on posting this....no biggie, right?!

Well, we started out our day by going to Alison's first (and only) Cross Country meet. It was sponsored by the Noblesville Cross Country Team and offered to all the elementary schools. All the kindergartners ran together and did a 1/2 mile loop. She did GREAT! She ran the entire course and was the 5th girl...we were super proud of our girl!!!

On your marks.....

Finished!!!!
From the Cross Country meet we headed to Muncie for the football game. We gave ourselves enough time to hit up the bookstore and stop and see Benny....Alison knows her from pictures but had never seen the real statue.
Clearly a bright and sun-shiny day!

Family photo-op
We were thrilled to have my brother and niece Gabi join us for the game and tailgating festivities. This was Gabi's first college "experience"--the campus, tailgating, football game---she was thrilled with it all :)

A little tailgating football 2 on 2

And who's gonna catch it?????

Right through her fingertips!
