Who am I kidding, I'll never get caught up!!!......

But I definitely think the title of this post should be...pictures of sleeping baby because I {clearly} take A LOT of them....but let's be honest...doesn't everyone loves pictures of sleeping babies?!
Sleeping vs Waking up vs Stretching...who knows what's going on here and don't let that pacifier fool you...I hate them!!!!

Look mom...I can even sleep in the middle of the hallway and yes...she always sleeps with her arms splayed wide out or up! No swaddling for her!

I'm one month old....can you believe it?!

My sister is happy as a lark holding me...I'm not so sure about it!

Yes, I'm asleep again but I honestly did fall asleep exactly like this...must have been thinking about how many times I can wake Mommy and Daddy up in the night...

Cousin love!!!

My sweet St. Patty's Day loves

and I'm asleep...again! Peace out!!!

Where I left off.....

Shortly after we got home from the hospital with Ada, Alison had her very first science fair. We had (thankfully) had our project completed prior to Ada's birth but Mommy was very sad she didn't get to go to the fair and see Alison's presentation. She did a wonderful job and we are very proud of her!

A blue ribbon award! Way to go!

Alison is the best big sister ever! She loves to hold Ada and showers her with attention!

Sink bath

Her first real bath....4 hands to clean are better than two, right?!

Alison's new ritual is to take a shower and then fill the tub so she can take a bath and help with Ada's bath

Ada's first two days

Chris and I thought it was VERY important for Alison to be the first person introduced to the new addition to our family. The moment that she came into recovery was just surreal....she saw the pink hat and said, "It's a girl" and she immediately wanted to know her name. I told her Ada and she said she liked it :) She immediately wanted to hold her and of course, we obliged! She is as her shirt says a "Rockstar Big Sister"!
Alison did get the privilege of telling her grandparents that we had another girl and her name was Ada!
The proudest moment of my life so far!!!!---my cup runneth over with these two ladies! Yes, Alison does look exhausted (okay, so does momma) but the poor girl woke up at 5:45 am with excitement about the new baby!

Holding time for Alison

One proud papa....what can he say....He makes girls :)

Our first family shot....we are so happy and blessed!

A little natural light to help with the jaundice

The look of complete concern on Alison's face just melts my heart! She is so caring and loving towards Ada! We are so blessed with a six year old girl that is loving, caring, and a heart of gold!

Ada's "Birth" Day Part I

Many of you know that my inductions with both Alison and Annie were not the most successful. Going into this baby both myself and my OB were very open in regards to birth options to bring this little babe into the world safely and efficiently.
At my appt on Valentine's Day we decided that a slight drop in baby's heart rate, a slight increase in my Bp, and some overall anxiety/nerves meant it was time to bring baby out! So 2 hours later I was headed to the hospital.
After 8 hours of cytotec which is to help ripen the cervix and initiate some contractions, my body still wasn't cooperating very well, we decided a C-Section was in the best interest of everyone. So, at 6:45am on February 15th, 2013 we headed into the OR and had a baby 31 minutes later!!!!
Looking REAL good in my hair bonnet

The overall C-Section experience is pretty crazy and I'll save you all the details but I am so thankful that we decided to go that route. I mean 7 minutes into the procedure we had this angel.......

Ada Kathleen Bishop (pronounced A-duh)
7.2 pounds
21 inches long
7:16am

She did fantastic with the c-section and it was amazing to hear her little cry before she was officially out of my tummy! Chris got to announce her sex and we couldn't be more thrilled to have another little girl in our family!

Mommy's first chance at holding as we rolled to recovery! Take my breath away JOY!

This is my AMAZING OB....God definitely placed her in my life for a reason, she is a fantastic doctor and I pray that as a nurse I have impacted patient's lives the way she has impacted ours.

Hair wash time!!!
