Indiana State Fair 2008

Sorry that we haven't blogged in awhile. I can't say we haven't been doing anything but I guess nothing that exciting I felt like blogging about. BUT...

Monday we headed to the State Fair. We had a great time. It was a gorgeous day outside and we were joined by both sets of grandparents and our Wagoner cousins. Chris took the day off to enjoy the day also. Besides the animals and exhibits we definitely hit the oh-so-yummy fair food. I must admit I am a little disappointed in myself, I had no sweet fried food and the deep fried cookie dough sounded wonderful!!!
We finished the day with a swim. Ali was in super water hound mode so we had a very enjoyable time.

So on Friday we spent most of the day out at my parents house with my nieces. As you will see below they had a ton of fun with the slip-n-slide, water hose, and popsicles. This was Ali's 1st popsicle. I believe she liked it. The rest of the weekend was filled with visiting and relaxing.

I just want to thank both sets of our parents for all the comforts and hospitality they provide while we are home. It is much appreciated. Thank you! We had a great time "away"!!!

Now to show off our new hair-do....it's finally long enough for pigtails! She looks adorable with these in and about 2 years older (in my opinion). Love them!!!!!

Our mini vacation Part II

So on Thursday evening we headed to the County Fair. My dad is active on the swine committee and spends a great deal of time helping at the fair each year. I was a ten year 4-H member and just simply have a love for it. I really hope that Ali can be active in some way when she is old enough. We ate dinner with the entire family and then went about looking at animals.

On a side note here is Ali putting on Gr. Fifi's rings.....so pretty! and so brave of Gr. Fifi :) Ha

Our mini vacation Part I

We headed home this past Wednesday afternoon to stay in Wabash for the rest of the week. We opted to do many small things this summer instead of one single vacation. Thursday morning Daddy took off for a moutain bike ride and then we headed to the city pool to cool off. Ali LOVED it! They had a slide and she had Daddy take her down about seven times. The baby pool is perfect because it is only about knee deep for her.
