Welcome the Month of May

We started off the Month of May with a cookout with friends. This is Lindsay and her new baby Lydia....as many of you know Alison was just SO excited to meet her and LOVES to hold and hug on her. She even got to "babysit" Lydia while Lindsay threw something away, such a big girl :) Can you see the excitement in Alison's face, so precious and I think Lydia looks mighty pleased too in this picture :)
Two beautiful girls!
After our cookout, Chris, Alison, and I went to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to celebrate the kickoff to the month of May with a hot air balloon glow and fireworks. It was really neat and pretty.

Watching the fireworks atop Daddy's shoulders, somebody was pretty tuckered out at this time!

How do you spend a Gorgeous Saturday with your family??

Why the zoo of course!
We got up and got moving on Saturday morning to get to the zoo. We and along with tons of others but it really didn't seem all that busy once inside. We had the most successful visit to the Plains area...the rhino's, elephants, zebras, and lions were all out and VERY active. It was great! Daddy and Mommy got to enjoy their favorite...Dogs n' Suds for lunch! We ended the day with a playdate with Jordan and Lucy from across the street. By 8pm we were a sweaty, sticky, tired mess! All in all, an awesome day for a 2 year old and her family.

Enjoying the view of the penguins, I love this photo!

Sitting pretty with ALL the gorgeous flowers that are around the zoo.

Checking out the Elephants, by far Alison's favorite part!!!

I think this is the only time I have seen the rhino's actually up and walking.
No better way to end the day than a carousel ride...note she is on the elephant....

and a pony ride...on Scarlett!

Accomplishments....

We are proud to announce that Alison has accomplished the big developmental task of being potty trained!!!!!! Yeah for Ali!! We are so proud of you baby girl...not so much a baby anymore! Now I am not nieve enough to think that accidents won't happen and we are definitely in the go every 1 1/2 hour stage but she is dry all day in big girl panties, even through naps!!! What an accomplishment!!!!

Here is a full potty chart and big girl Dora panties!!
So proud of herself!!

Easter Week 2009

Oh what a wonderful Easter Week we had, full of fun activities. We started out our fun with an Easter Egg hunt last Sat. at a local park. Yes, this is where we got our enfamous 1 1/2 (non matching) Easter Eggs. Thank heavens she didn't care!! Here we are in full hunt mode! HA
At least we did get our 1st tattoo....a pig. It was really cute!
Easter egg painting at the house. Meme and Papa were here to help with this. I think painting her and Papa's hands was just as fun as the eggs!
Easter weekend Saturday we had the annual Wagoner Easter Egg hunt at my parents with brunch to follow. Here are all the kids. They had lots of fun hiding and looking.
Here are two cool chics, doing what every little girl loves....lookin' good and swinging high!
Playing in the tree, she looks sooo grown-up in this photo. Where has my baby gone?
Easter Sunday best, headed to church and brunch with all the family.

Alison's new toy

Well after talking about it all last spring, summer, and fall we finally got around to getting Alison a swingset. She loves, loves going to parks and playing and just knew this would be quite the investment for us. We were 100% accurate. She has really enjoyed it so far, even though today was spent looking at it from the window..thanks rain!
We had it delivered and installed on Friday while she was at school so it was great to see her bust outta the house to go get a better look. So this spring/summer/fall if you can't get ahold of the Bishop's, we are probably outside pushing somebody on the swing (by far her favorite part).
