This week in review

So a bunch of randomness for this week. Nothing to exciting...library, grocery, dance class, work for Mommy, school for Alison.....but here are some definite highlights of the week...to make us smile :)
We did get to watch this little doll on Friday afternoon...can you say sweetheart?!

Ali did get to bring home her snack from school on Friday...aren't I lucky??!!! Seriously, why do bakeries have to put SO much icing on cupcakes??!We did get to sport our new bathrobe this week....and note to Mom and Dad, Alison has perfected the Michael Jackson move!

Go Cardinals!!

Who needs to sit at the table and eat when you can stretch and reach it on the countertop, right? and who needs pants??
AAAHHH, a special surprise from Miss Lindsay...she's SSOOOO scary!
Mommy's surprise of the week....thank you Chris-O. I love you and these were much appreciated!
Hope you all enjoyed this edition of 'This week is review'

A Rebuilding Season

Yes folks, that is definitely going to be the theme for BSU football this year and hopefully not next too :) But we are still having a ball tailgating! We enjoyed Sat. nights game with Chris' cousin Jean and our friend Travis plus ol' Meme and Papa too! Alison does really well. We have to check out the cheerleaders multiple times and watch the band. We got our official cheerleading outfit this past weekend so pics of that to come soon.

Cheering on those Cards

A little tailgate frisbee action going on

The tailgate gang, what a fun time!

Yay-Rah!
and when the tailgate gets a little long for the 2 year old (and Meme too) we just break out Dora for a little bit :) and everybody's happy!!!

Happy Belated Birthday to You!

Yes, I'm super behind on my posting which means I'm just now getting to Chris' birthday post...bad blogger alert!!!! Oh well :)
We had a great time celebrating Chris' birthday. It was a gorgeous day. Ali and I baked a cake after her nap (Chris' favorite..white cake with chocolate icing) then we met Chris at The Cheesecake Factory for dinner..YUMMO! We came home and Alison unwrapped his gifts for him. Gone are the days of unwrapping our own presents, aaahhh, the blissfulness of parenthood. Then we got to sing and eat cake!
I hope you had a wonderful day honey. I love you very much and I'm so thankful for August 25th, without this day there wouldn't be you. Without you, I wouldn't be complete! You are the perfect husband--loving, kind, funny, sweet, and sensitive and the perfect daddy-playful, tender, and honest! Alison and I love you sooo much and had fun celebrating you!!! XOXO

Unwrapping gifts "together"

These two are sooo silly, aka "silly face"
and "serious face"
an "I Love You" moment

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Chris, Happy Birthday to you!!

Holiday World

We headed to Holiday World a few weekends ago. We had an amazing time. I recommend the park and Lake Rudolph to anybody. The park has something for everyone, even the little ones--lots actually. The swimpark is amazing....Chris could have "played" forever! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will be heading back again next year, I'm sure!

Probably my favorite photo of the weekend, she was just tickled to be driving this car and Chris of course was being completely goofy with her. This pic captures her true smile and laugh!

Ready to ride--a lot of the rides are for kids 54" and shorter which means even parents can't ride. Funny feeling to watch your little girl get on rides and go up/down/round and round all by herself, but she REALLY enjoys all of them!
Bumper boats--another favorite!
Well, you can't be in Santa Claus, IN and not meet Santa himself, right?! Not the best quality of photo but here we are.
Her own Ali sized carousel.
Canoeing down the river.
Our 1st ride of the park, the big girl carousel--she chose this rabbit with HUGE ears!
