Somebody turned '6' years old

and that little somebody would be Miss Alison Bishop!

We had a great time celebrating her birthday! She enjoyed a friend birthday party at Recreation Unlimited which is a showroom for outdoor swing sets---a kids dream :) She is blessed with super sweet little friends!

We then enjoyed a family birthday party at the house with a Scooby Doo theme. We had a 'gift ghost' and the kids had to solve the mystery to find the gifts! Super cute! She again is blessed with a wonderful family who loves every inch of her.

On her birthday day, mom took her out for lunch at McDonald's and then she chose Sushi for dinner {Daddy was not disappointed}! We came home and enjoyed some holiday treats and since it was a school night it was off to bed.....

yes, she had the birthday that just keeps on giving :)

and yet another milestone...

yes folks, she's up on 2 wheels! We are so proud of our little girl. She has worked super hard the last two months to get to this point. We are so thankful we've had nice weather off/on so she could get out and practice. Chris has been her #1 teacher and cheerleader :) Way to go Alison!!!!

And in completely un-related news...here's a 28 week belly shot, thought you'd enjoy! Feeling great and enjoying every second! Time is going SO fast, I can't believe we've hit the beginning of the 3rd trimester already!

Another Milestone

So last Wednesday I realized how extremely loose Alison's little tooth was. She wanted it out pretty bad but Mommy is NOT good at pulling teeth. She tried, I did try but it was ultimately Daddy who got that little booger out. We did shed a few tears but she stayed strong and brave and we got it!!!!!
Showing us her proud new little tooth hole!

Posing with her tooth fairy pillow...which was mine growing up ~grin~

and her Tooth Fairy surprise.....a gold 1 dollar coin...she was SO excited!!! Please, disregard the bedhead!

We had dinner at Pizza Hut on Wednesday prior to the tooth experience and Alison got to use her very first Book-It award. Talk about an emotional evening, we get to celebrate that our little one is starting to read and she looses her first tooth...I felt like she might as well drive off in her car for her first date...my heart was breaking at how big she's getting!!!!

Saturday family fun

This past Saturday we headed to Cincinnati with two things in mind....enjoy the beautiful weather outside and make an IKEA run! We've been to the Cincy Zoo before and the second trip didn't disappoint either. We had a great day! So thankful to spend quality time with my little fam ~grin~
We headed to IKEA afterwards and scored big with a new entertainment center/storage shelves for the living room. They are about 75% put together now and "I'm lovin' it"! Alison's favorite thing about IKEA...the meatballs and shopping carts :)

24 weeks and 5 days

Well, we've made it...pass the half-way point! We had a follow-up ultrasound this morning just to follow growth, development, and fluid levels....okay, maybe it was just to make mom and dad feel good :) But in all honesty, we were thrilled to see our little miracle! Growing right on target and we couldn't be happier!

Nice profile shot, kinda looks like it is blowing a bubble

3-D shot....the baby is looking straight at you...definite two eyes, nose,  lips, and tiny chin
