Valentine's Day 2008

We hope that everybody had a super-sweet day yesterday. We sure did....everyday is super-sweet with Ali Bug around :)

We had a pretty quiet day. Daddy had to work and Mommy and Ali just ran some errands in the afternoon. I made chili for dinner and then Chris and I did treat ourselves to some Cold Stone Creamery ice cream after dinner. Ali got to open her Valentine's Day gifts when we got home. She really enjoyed them. If you can't tell.....it was a purse with a hairbrush/mirror combo, spritzer bottle, "credit-card", and a book. She loves to carry her purse around.

These are the best pics I could get with our little mover and shaker. She wasn't to keen on sitting still for the camera.

To wrap up the weekend...Part 3

So, after all the hard work on Saturday, we finally got some relaxing time on Sunday and Monday. We lounged around the house, played, enjoyed the Super Bowl, and then finally had to say Bye :( Chris and I headed home on Monday evening. Becky and the kids left early Tuesday morning. We had a fabulous visit. Thank you Becky for making the trip. We love you! Here are some pics to just wrap up the visit:

Weekend of Fun Part 2

So, as many of you know Chris and Becky had organized a surprise 40th Anniversary Party for Bobby and Sheryl on Saturday. So thankfully, Chris and I both woke up feeling SO much better on Saturday morning and Ali seemed fair also. We had told Bob and Sheryl that we had hired a professional photographer to do some family photos. Much to their dismay, when we arrived at the Honeywell Center for "photos" many friends and family were already there. It was great. I think Sheryl got the biggest surprise because all but 1 of her brothers and sisters from N. Dakota had made the trip to celebrate. It was awesome. So, we spent the afternoon visiting with friends and family. Then about 20 of us headed out to dinner that night and then back to Bob and Sheryl's for visiting time. It was so fun. Thanks to my parents for watching Ali on Sat. night so that Chris and I could enjoy some parent-free time :) Here are some photos to enjoy. And again....Happy 40th to Bob and Sheryl! On a side note: my parents also celebrated their 40th in December.....so Happy 40th to Tom and Becki. Chris and I sure do have wonderful examples of love, marriage, and committment.

Weekend of Fun Part 1

Well our fun started last Wed. night when Chris' sister Becky and two of kiddos, London and Poppy, arrived from Alaska. Just a tidbit about them. London is 3 and a ball of energy. He has awesomely crazy curly strawberry blond hair. Poppy is just 1 and the most laid back little thing until she really wants your attention and her squeal is attention getting :)
Thursday was a relaxing morning at home letting everybody warm up to each other and catch up on some sleep. Chris' parents were also here.

We then headed out to the Children's Museum. We had sooooo much fun. I think that London's favorite exhibit was definitely the dinosaurs. He LOVES dinosaurs. He likes to be a T. Rex and a Triceratops. Both the girls enjoyed the Playscape Toddler Zone. They both got to crawl/walk around and explore. They also have a Curious George exhibit right now that is fun. We ended the day with a birthday party for Poppy. She had turned 1 the day before they came. We enjoyed cupcakes with frosting and she was a champ at opening her gifts. London was also a BIG help :)

Happy 1-year Poppy

On Friday we woke up with Ali not feeling so well, along with Daddy. Ali was having diarrhea and vomited. We had her checked at the Peds office to make sure it was safe to head out of town. By mid-afternoon Mommy wasn't feeling well also. We did make it to Wabash but headed straight out to my parents house and took some naps and went to bed early. Unfortunately we had little visiting/playtime with the Moren's this day :(

Oh, how pretty

So Ali and I have discovered how fun it is to "put on" Mommy's makeup while Mommy actually puts on her makeup. She loves to carry around the brushes and hold onto the mirror. She sits in my lap and just babbles away. It is soo sweet. Well, today I was letting her play and I was busy doing my hair and getting dressed and then looked at her and she had the eyeshadow open. She had a big brown dot on her nose and multiple little streaks throughout the rest of her face. I couldn't get the best picture, but here are some. I guess I have to start being alittle more selective on what I give her to "put on". HA!

Note the tiny brown speck on her cheek by her ear
