A week in review

wwwhheeewww weeeeee, what a week we had. We were so busy havin' fun and bein' busy I just now am getting to updating.
Of course we started the week with Father's Day. We hope Chris had a great day feeling pampered and loved. You are an amazing the father and the giggles and squeals only YOU can get out of Alison are priceless. I love you so much! I wouln't want to be on this journey of parenthood with anybody else! To our dads....thank you so much for being wonderful examples of love, humor, and dedication. We are soo blessed!

Now you will see a trend in the week....water, water, and more water....that's b/c it was HOT HOT HOT!

We did take a break from water to do a little finger/body/toe/hand painting. My budding artist! The wet washcloth to clean up was at least 1/2 the fun!!!

We did get a visit from Travis, Lindsay, and Lydia on Friday night for dinner. Lydia is growing up to quick already! We got to enjoy some playtime with them.
We headed to Wabash on Saturday and again to beat the heat, we hit the city pool. They have a waterslide we must have gone down 25 times with Ali, she LOVED it! Clearly in the pic below, the sun was a bit bright in the eyes :) Please note swim baby...she also made 25 trips down the slide....lucky her, hunh?!

The Bishop Reunion 2009

We headed to Metamora, IN on Saturday for the annual Bishop Reunion. We had a great day, the weather was a little steamy but no rain!!! Alison had a great day bike ridin', puddle jumpin', sand playin', pool swimmin', bubble blowin', cake eatin', ABC singin' kind of day! It was great to visit with family and looking forward to it again next year already.
Here are a few pics from the day----

Cousin Jeannie winning her way through the cornhole tournament!
The 3 girls...okay, they are sooo cute. They are born Oct/Nov/Dec of 2006. I'm sure they will be quite the little musketeers in 10 years or so.

Coolin' off!!!

The dreaded egg holding segment of the annual Chris and Kitty scavenger hunt. Chris pulls this together every year and does an amazing job....I don't know if these folks think so, 30 min. was a long time to hold that egg....way to go guys!!!
and again, Grandpa Bobby looking for that 4-leaf clover that is on the list EVERY year!!!!

Happy 8-0 Grandma B.

We headed to Wabash on Friday night to celebrate my Grandma Behny's 80th and to celebrate Father's Day with my dad and brother b/c we won't be seeing them next weekend. While Chris and Bobby played golf on Sat. Sheryl and I took Ali to the local farmer's market and to the park. After lunch and naptime we headed to my brothers for a quick swim (or should I see hypothermia session)...just a tid bit chilly!!!! Then came the birthday party!!! My grandma is an amazing lady and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She is amazingly healthy and we hope to celebrate many, many more with her!
Just a relaxing day around the house today.....the swingset, riding our new mini big wheel, watering plants, and swimming at the Y fulfilled our day today!
Helping Papa open his gift.
Alison, Great Meme, and Mommy doing a three way birthday hug and kiss! We love her so much!!!

I seriously don't know where to start....

....this past week has been amazing!!! My super sweet and creative husband surprised me with overnight trip to Cincy. We headed there on Wed. morn and went to Ikea (the store that could potentially make me broke if I lived any closer) and then to Great Wolf Lodge for the night. We played in the waterpark for hours and had a blast. Alison really enjoyed it all.
They even have toddler waterslides. They were great b/c she could get to them on her own and I could stand in the water to catch her. Really fun!
We did the Cincy zoo on Thurs and then came home for the most yummy cupcakes EVER...Cold Stone Creamery Cake Batter Deluxe....sooooo good! Happy 30th (sigh) to me!!!!!!
Clearly we wore her out as she rubs her eyes for the family photo.

Oh yeah, two peas in a pod.
The best way to see the animals...compliments of Daddy!
Look at those active polar bears behind us...
Who is liking these cupcakes better....Daddy or Ali (with her mouth completely full)???

Friday was a rather quiet day but we did get to surprise our friend Andrea for her 30th...way to go Bob by pulling it off :) Saturday we had a cookout with fellow race goers and family and Chris surprised me again with chocolate cake!! He is sooo sneaky! Sunday was up bright and early to the race. We had a great day with friends, the weather was gorgeous, and even though my racer didn't win.....the race was really fun too!
Thank you Chris for the most amazing birthday ever. You really spoiled me and made it memorable. I really appreciate the heart you put into your plans....I had a blast!!!!! Thank you to both my parents and Chris' parents for coming to watch Alison. I'm sure she had a great day with the grandparents and Chris and I really enjoyed our time with friends and each other!!
