Our mini vacation Part I

We headed home this past Wednesday afternoon to stay in Wabash for the rest of the week. We opted to do many small things this summer instead of one single vacation. Thursday morning Daddy took off for a moutain bike ride and then we headed to the city pool to cool off. Ali LOVED it! They had a slide and she had Daddy take her down about seven times. The baby pool is perfect because it is only about knee deep for her.

Heading out the door on Wed., but had to post this cute pic of her dress.
Yeah, it's bright out here!!!
Wheeeee, again--again!!!
Look at those shades!
Two cool chics!
Lovin' the water
Here they come............

Our Sunday Outing

This past Sunday we headed to the IMA, Lilly House, and Gardens. We thought since my parents were in town it was a perfect day to do something we normally wouldn't venture out and see. I'm so glad that we did b/c it was gorgeous. The day in and of itself was kinda hot but the sights were great. The house is a gorgeous old mansion and the gardens were exquisite....I'm sure even more gorgeous in the spring when most things are blooming. Ali enjoyed running around and smelling the flowers. We didn't actually go through the IMA we just walked through the gift shop to cool off. Definitely an outing I encourage anybody to go do. Here are some pics..

Mommy and Ali looking at some Lily pads and that's Papa Tom in the background taking a break. I'm pretty sure he's giving Chris the peace sign!

Happy July 4th

Well we had a great weekend. I worked on Thursday night but was fortunate enough to get canceled on Friday night. We enjoyed a cookout with friends on Friday and Chris and I watched whatever fireworks we could see from our house. Saturday we headed to Conner Prairie for the Symphony and fireworks. My parents and brother and family came too! It was a gorgeous night outside and we had the best time. I was really worried about Ali and the fireworks b/c she HATES thunder but she just sat back, drank her milk, and enjoyed the show! Thank you Mom and Dad for taking us this year :) We love you!!!!!

Our sidewalk chalk masterpiece!!
"What do you mean I can't throw the chalk??"
We like to call this: sidewalk chalk face
Our little firecracker....thanks for the dress Gigi, it fits perfectly
Wrestlemania time with Daddy.....this passes the time well!

Boating

Well, Mommy finally grew a backbone and gathered some strength and let Alison out on our friends' boat. They have been asking/inviting us since last summer and I have ALWAYS wussied out. I was sooo nervous to take Ali out on the water like that. BUT we got her a little lifevest swimsuit and made the plunge! She loved it. She enjoyed riding in the boat and even got in the water with Chris and I holding her. Chris and I both got to do some tubing which was SUPER fun! So, thank you so much Lindsay and Travis for not giving up on us and for sharing your boat with us. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

I know, great pic of me hunh?! :)
Chris...ready for a bumpy ride :)
